About Zebrafish
The Zebrafish (Danio rerio) is a species of freshwater fish native to southern Asia and is currently well known around the world as a valuable tool in scientific research due to several unique characteristics that distinguish it as an experimental model.

Agile reproduction and rapid development
Zebrafish are known for their rapid and efficient reproductive ability. The eggs are fertilized externally, and the embryos develop outside the female's body. This allows easy access and observation of embryonic development. In addition, these fish reach sexual maturity in a few weeks, accelerating the life cycle and allowing studies of several generations in a short period of time.
